Career paths
Even though the majority of our consultants come to CNC with several years of professional experience, it is nonetheless possible to join us directly after agraduate or postgraduate degree.
As an “Associate”, our entry-level position for (post)graduates or young professionals with one to two years experience of work, you will be a member of different project teams and be expected to take on responsibility from the very beginning. Obviously, you will not be left to your own devices, but will always work within a team structure. On the other hand, you will have the chance to learn a lot very quickly. You will soon become accustomed to the different CNC consultancy tools, gain skills in different sectors, get to know the different communication disciplines - and you may grow into the role of “Senior Associate” after one to two years.
In preparation for the next step of your career (“Consultant”, “Senior Consultant”), you will, in time, be challenged in the areas of project management and development of client relations, close cooperation with the media and leadership.
The members of our Management Team are charged with mentoring younger colleagues. They are also responsible for an office or one of our service areas, for generating new business and for the strategic development of the company.
Besides the career path for consultants, we also offer interesting development opportunities in our corporate functions such as Marketing, Human Resources and Finance.
At CNC, careers are encouraged and supported on an individual basis. Career development depends heavily on the performance of each employee and their contribution to a client’s success. As part of a regular review and feedback process, you will have the opportunity to share your own goals and ideas, and actively shape your own development.
A member of the management team will oversee your development and progression. They will be responsible for your introductory training, provide regular feedback, coordinate with you to set individual targets and advise you regarding specific development plans. In addition, experienced colleagues and project managers will provide ongoing support during your “on-the-job” training.
With its unique development programme, CNC will support you in developing the necessary core competencies for each stage of your career. As well as taking part in specially selected external seminars and conferences, you will also be able to benefit from customised in-house CNC events, such as our “New Hire Days”, leadership programmes and other training events focusing on both professional and personal skills.
In order to build a strong basis for future career development, we place a strong emphasis on familiarising you with the necessary communications tools and the classic CNC approach from the very beginning of your career.
