Our internships offer successful candidates the opportunity to get to know our company first hand through a three to six-month placement at one of CNC’s offices.

As an intern at CNC, you will be a member of a consulting team from day one and will be offered the opportunity to take responsibility for a range of tasks. You will gain a broad range of experience of communications and learn valuable professional skills, from conducting in-depth client research to drafting tailored communications strategies.

Candidates from all academic disciplines may apply for internships. Many of our consultants have studied economics, communication studies, journalism or politics. CNC employees have also graduated in science, law and history and we value the diversity of our international team and the creative cooperation this enables.

It is important to us that you can demonstrate some practical experience, excellent communications and writing capabilities, as well as a genuine interest in current political and economic affairs and the media.

As an intern at CNC you will be allocated a mentor who will support you throughout your internship. The mentor will also take care of planning your workload and capacity. In return, we expect you to show initiative and to become an active member of the team, approaching colleagues for work and expressing an interest in learning and doing more.

How far in advance should I apply for a position?

Applying between 3 and 6 months in advance of an intended start date will increase your chance of gaining an intern position in your preferred office and for your preferred dates. In principle, applicants can be taken on at any time (for both permanent positions and internships).

What in particular do you look for in a CNC application?

It is important that your application clearly sets out why you are interested in CNC, what your expectations are and what experience and skills you believe you can offer the company. We would also like to know what attracts you to the area of communications and why you are seeking a career in strategic consultancy. When listing your previous professional positions or internships, you should emphasise which tasks and areas of responsibility you took on in each case. In addition, credentials and references are welcome.

Does CNC offer the opportunity to complete an internship abroad?

Does CNC supervise bachelors or masters dissertations?

In exceptional cases, yes. We offer this option mainly to former interns who have already got to know our company and who often have developed a subject for their bachelors or masters dissertation during their internship.

Which academic disciplines is CNC interested in?

For both internships and entry-level positions, candidates from all disciplines are welcome to apply. Many of our consultants have studied Economics, Law, Journalism or Politics, but we also have Science, Languages and Arts graduates and we value this variety, which enriches our international team and its culture of creative collaboration.

How can I gain international experience with CNC?
