CNC recognised as leading provider of M&A communications advice in H1 2017

CNC, the global strategic communications consultancy, has once again been recognised as a leading adviser to mergers and acquisitions globally, according to mergermarket, the M&A intelligence provider.

In the first half of 2017, CNC advised on 23 M&A transactions worth a total of US $ 56.6bn. This placed CNC as the foremost German M&A adviser, and the eighth most prominent M&A adviser worldwide. Based on deal count, CNC topped the table in Germany and took third place in Japan. In the United States, CNC finished in eighth place, based on deal value.

CNC’s first-half performance builds on its success in 2016, when it was also recognised as the leading German provider of M&A communications advice, finishing sixth in the global adviser league tables with US $ 153bn of transactions. CNC was subsequently named European Financial Consultancy of the Year by industry publication The Holmes Report.

Bernhard Meising, CEO of CNC commented: “Our investment in first-class talent and our international reach – as demonstrated by the merger with the leading international consultancy JKL – is paying off. Together with our sister company in New York, Kekst, we are continuously expanding our international presence. This will allow us to advise our clients wherever they need it.”

Over the past year, CNC has advised Linde on its merger with Praxair, Metro on its demerger, and PSA on its acquisition of GM Europe. In the initial public offering (IPO) market, CNC has supported the listings of both Vapiano and Delivery Hero, the largest IPO in Germany this year and the largest technology IPO in Europe for two years respectively.
