CNC, the global strategic communications consultancy, today announces the appointment of Christoph Gottschalk as partner, strengthening CNC’s Berlin presence from 1 September.
Christoph will join CNC from Russell Reynolds Associates, an international executive search consultancy, whose Hamburg office he led since 2012. He has built an excellent network in the fields of communications, politics, media, as well as non-profit organisations and beyond.
Before Russell Reynolds, from 2003 to 2005, Christoph served as German Adviser to the French Prime Minister at the time, Jean-Pierre Raffarin. Moreover, he held the office of President of the European Youth Parliament and has been engaged in European social policy issues ever since. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Übersee-Club Hamburg as well as of the Advisory Boards of the Symphoniker Hamburg and the Bucerius Law School.
Christoph will be based in CNC’s Berlin office. In addition to strengthening the Public Affairs practice he will be involved in the company’s Leadership Advisory efforts and will advise clients on their Change Management activities.
“CNC is adding an exceptional personality to its ranks” says Bernhard Meising, CNC’s Chief Executive Officer. “Communications with multiple stakeholders is becoming increasingly important for the C-suite, and Christoph is almost unique in his ability to move among politics, non-profit organisations, corporates and culture. His network is second to none and he understands all of these stakeholders’ expectations. He is a good listener and gives wise counsel.”
Christoph Gottschalk says: “Incisive, far-sighted, engaging communications and value-based leadership at the crossroads of business, politics and society are of crucial strategic importance in today’s world. An ability to combine political and communicative intuition with commercial success is increasingly critical for leaders facing geopolitical and societal challenges. As an international, highly connected consultancy, CNC is well positioned. I look forward to working with CNC’s partners and the entire CNC team around the world.”
